Getting There

Wedding Location

Shanzu Beach
Shanzu Beach lies on Kenya’s north coast, approximately 20 km north of Mombasa, not south. It offers a peaceful stretch of shoreline with palm-lined beaches and calm waters, making it ideal for relaxed coastal stays and destination events.
Accessibility:
Located along Serena Beach Road, the resort is easily accessible.
Moi International Airport (Mombasa) is about 27 km away — just 45–60 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
Mombasa SGR Terminus (Madaraka Express) is approximately 35–40 km away — a 50–70 minute drive via the scenic Mombasa–Malindi highway and bypass roads.
Mombasa town is only 30–40 minutes away by car.

Things to Do in Mombasa

A Guided Private Tour of Fort Jesus & Old Town:

Explore Mombasa’s UNESCO heritage gem with an expert guide, then dive into Swahili culture with curated tastings of biryani, coconut curries, and fresh mabuyu at a restored historic home or boutique café. Tip: Pair it with a chauffeur-driven tour and private access to rooftop viewpoints or galleries.

Marine life:

Explore the beautiful Wasini Island, known for its stunning coral reefs and rich marine life. You can also take a boat trip to spot Dolphins, snorkel, and enjoy fresh seafood.

VIP Spa & Wellness Day at a Coastal Resort

(e.g., PrideInn Beach Resort, Serena, or EnglishPoint Marina): Indulge in full-body massages, salt scrubs, and oceanfront infinity pools. Many resorts offer couples’ treatments in sea-facing spa suites with herbal teas and detox rituals. Tip: Book a half-day signature package and add a rooftop lunch or wine pairing afterward.

Private Dhow Cruise with Sundowners on Mombasa Creek

Set sail aboard a traditional Swahili dhow—custom-chartered for your group—complete with champagne, canapés, and panoramic views of the city skyline and mangrove estuaries. Tip: Choose a sunset cruise with a live acoustic band or a curated seafood dinner on board..
